Trump: JD Vance Is The “Most Likely” MAGA Heir

United States President Donald Trump has suggested that Vice President JD Vance is “most likely” the favorite to become his successor and the 2028 Republican presidential nominee. While he admitted it’s too soon to decide for certain, it appears that Vance will be the chosen one.

During a White House event on Tuesday, Trump was asked about recent remarks from Secretary of State Marco Rubio, who told Fox News that Vance “would be a great nominee if he decides he wants to do that”.

“I think most likely — in all fairness, he’s the Vice President,” Trump said when asked if Vance was the heir apparent to his movement. “I think Marco is also somebody that maybe would get together with JD in some form.”

Trump continued, “I also think we have incredible people, some of the people on the stage right here. So it’s too early, obviously, to talk about it, but certainly he’s doing a great job, and he would probably be favoured at this point.”

According to a report by RT, earlier this year, Republican Congressman Andy Ogles proposed an amendment to the Constitution that would allow presidents to serve a third term, provided that the terms are nonconsecutive. The proposal has so far not gained traction.

Donald Trump Is “NOT Joking” About A Third Term

Trump told NBC News in an interview on Sunday that there are “methods” available to him to pursue another presidential run, despite the Constitution’s two-term limit on the presidency. Trump made the remarks during a phone call from Mar-a-Lago, in what are his most direct comments yet on the possibility of extending his presidency beyond 2029. “A lot of people want me to do it,” he said.

The 22nd Amendment to the US Constitution, ratified in 1951 following President Franklin D. Roosevelt’s unprecedented four election victories, states: “No person shall be elected to the office of the President more than twice.”

“There are – not plans – but there are methods which you could do it, as you know.”

“I’m not joking,” Trump said, adding that “it is far too early to think about it.” -SHTFPlan

While it is pretty early on to be considering another round of (s)elecitons, Trump appears to have at least given up the notion that he will get to rule for a third term.
