The latest “Lioness” episode set the internet on fire.
Taylor Sheridan’s hit CIA/military thriller is one of the best shows on TV, and it’s built a rabid following. Episode 6 of Season 3 premiered Sunday on Paramount+, and the series is officially off to the races as Joe’s team races to rescue her from her kidnappers.
Sheridan continues to prove he can take things to a new level on a weekly basis, and viewers are buzzing after what they saw Sunday.

“Lioness” fans react to crazy episode.

Episode 6 – “Sugar Land” – saw a major reveal in the closing moments when Joe was handed off to an Iranian extraction team.
In what can only be described as an absolutely bone-chilling scene, it is laid out in brutal terms what awaits her in Iran. A fate far worse than death.

The Iranian agent then proceeded to cut her toe off. It was a shocking moment, but I would argue it wasn’t even the craziest moment of the episode.
The coolest moment was by far when Kyle and two Delta Force operators found the Iranian plane waiting to fly her out of the USA.
A bloody and epic gun battle unfolded on the tarmac, and happened with such lightning speed that it was mind-boggling. It’s clear that whoever is advising Sheridan on the series knows what they’re doing. Everything about the Delta Force shootout scene felt incredibly real.
