To commemorate the United States Navy and the United States Marine Corps and their 250-year anniversary, Auto Ordnance Corporation is launching two full-size government frame single stack 1911 pistols chambered for the .45 ACP cartridge.

In collaboration with Altered Arsenal, both of these Auto Ordnance pistols are customized with details and accent pieces. Meant to be more than just ordinary 1911 pistols, these offerings include details to showcase both the U.S. Marine Corp and the U.S. Navy’s valor and rich histories spanning back to the last 250 years of service.

The 250th Anniversary Navy Commemorative 1911

A tribute to the “sentinels of the sea,” this Auto Ordnance pistol features a unique, multi-toned Cerakote finish. The finish includes a base of “Arctic White” and “Savage Stainless.” All areas with engravings found on the 250th Anniversary Navy Commemorative pistols are carefully filled in with Cerakote “Armor Black.” This application makes the proud “NAVY” on the left side and the gold-highlighted “250 YEARS” emblem on the right stand out with striking clarity. In addition, the top part of the slide is engraved with patterns found on the Navy’s dress Uniform. The hardwood stocks feature a detailed portrait of John Paul Jones, the “Father of the American Navy.”

The 250th Anniversary Marines 1911A1

Honoring “The Few and the Proud,” the Auto Ordnance 250th Anniversary Marines 1911A1 pistol has a white Cerakote frame contrasted against a darker “Midnight Blue” slide. This gives the gun the classic custom 1911 look of a lighter colored frame with a darker slide. On top of that, this pistol is festooned with USMC Red and Gold accents throughout. emulating the Marine’s special dress-white uniform. The slide proudly displays its heritage with “MARINES” emblazoned in bold lettering on the left side. The right side celebrates the historic milestone with “UNITED STATES” and a gold-inlaid “250 YEARS” emblem. The stocks feature scenes of Revolutionary War-era warriors on the right panel and a depiction of a modern Marine on the left.
