Billy Baldwin went into detail about the actress he refused to kiss on camera.
During a recent interview on the “Lisa Guerrero Unleashed” podcast, the 63-year-old actor shared he felt so much “tension” between himself and Sharon Stone on the set of “Silver” that he refused to kiss her.
“There was like a couple of, like a whole month, where she wouldn’t say hello. She wouldn’t say goodbye. She wouldn’t say good morning. She wouldn’t say good night,” he said.
He described her being “off book” and performing for the camera when doing her close-up shots, but then sitting “on an apple box with her glasses on with her script open” during his close-ups, saying, “She wouldn’t even look at me.”

Baldwin explained that after dealing with Stone on set, he approached director Phillip Noyce and producer Robert Evans, telling them, “I can’t do the last love scene.”
At this point in the filming process, they had already filmed three love scenes out of four, but those were filmed at the beginning of the production “when everything was jiving.”
Noyce and Evans told Baldwin he was hired for a role, “You got a love scene and you got to do this.”
“I said, ‘All right, listen. I can do the scene,'” Baldwin noted. “I said, ‘But I just please please don’t make me kiss her. Please don’t make me kiss her.'”
He then claimed that the iconic love scene between him and Stone in the film was a result of his request not to kiss her.
After all was said and done, Baldwin told the podcast host that he would “love to bury the hatchet” with Stone, adding that he “would love to see Sharon Stone and shake her hand and give her a hug.”
During the interview, Baldwin also slammed Stone’s previous claims that Evans pressured her to sleep with Baldwin while making the movie so that he would have a “better” performance.

“He wasn’t talking about Sharon not being able to act,” he said. “He was saying, ‘I keep getting reports that there’s incredibly bad tension. We know what it’s all about. All this pent-up sexual energy tension. Just do it and get it over with.'”
She first made these claims in her 2021 memoir, “The Beauty of Living Twice.” In the memoir she wrote that “they expected me to bring home another giant smash hit” and were trying to “blame me for their mistakes.”
“If I could sleep with Billy then we’d have chemistry on screen, and if I would just have sex with him, then that would save the movie, and the real problem in the movie was me because I was so uptight, and so not like a real actress who could just f— him and get things back on track,” she wrote. “The real problem was I was such a tight a–.”

Baldwin fired back in 2024 by writing on X that he wasn’t “sure why Sharon Stone keep talking about me all these years later” and saying he has “so much dirt on her it would make her head spin but I’ve kept quiet.” He continued, “Wonder if I should write a book and tell the many, many disturbing, kinky and unprofessional tales about Sharon? That might be fun.”

According to the “Backdraft” star, he had his own meeting with Evans about a sex scene in the film.
“The story of the meeting I had with Bob Evans imploring him [to] allow me to choreograph the final sex scene in the photo below so I wouldn’t have to kiss Sharon is absolute legend,” he claimed.
