It may be a little early to discuss holiday gifts for gun owners who seem to already have everything, but we have a good reason to jump the gun. Winchester Ammunition has introduced a limited-edition Commemorative USA 250th Anniversary Ammunition Series that celebrates this great nation’s birth in 1776. It does so in an elegant manner, one guaranteed to bring a smile to any firearm-owner’s face.
“As the United States celebrates years of resilience, innovation and progress, Winchester honors the spirit of the men and women who built this nation—not just with bricks and steel, but with determination, vision, and grit,” the press release states. The statement is reflected on the boxes, which wear classic artwork depicting the hard work of farmers, line workers, assemblymen in a factory, metal workers, first responders and more.
Gun owners in any of those professions will undoubtedly be proud to receive one (or more) of the boxes. There’s no doubt everyone else will appreciate the hat tip to the hard work poured into the United States throughout history. The limited-edition status, however, indicates by the time the turkey is thawing these commemorative boxes will be hard—if not impossible—to find, particularly if you’re looking for one that portrays a particular vocation.
“Since 1866, Winchester has been part of the American story—built on hard work, craftsmanship, and an unwavering spirit,” the press release states. “As we look ahead to America’s 250th anniversary, this special-edition ammunition celebrates the American worker.”
There are nine collectible boxes available. They are, of course, fully loaded with cartridges. Available loads include 9 mm NATO, .45 ACP, .30-’06 Sprg., and 12-gauge shotshells.
