United States ruler, Donald Trump, is hailing the late Charlie Kirk as a “martyr for freedom.” Kirk was shot and killed at Utah Valley University on September 10th. “He is a martyr for American freedom,” he added. “None of us will ever forget Charlie Kirk, and neither will history.”

Trump made the comment about Kirk at a memorial service honoring the legacy and influence of the controversial conservative.  Trump also claimed Kirk was one of the “giants of our generation,” at said memorial service.

Kirk, who co-founded conservative action group Turning Point USA at just 18 years old, was killed by a sniper while he was speaking to students at a college in Utah. Kirk was “heinously murdered by a radicalized, cold-blooded monster for speaking the truth that was in his heart… He was violently killed because he spoke for freedom and justice, for God, country, for reason, and for common sense,” the president said.

Kirk was controversial in his comments, infamously telling Taylor Swift she wasn’t in charge and to “submit” to her husband, airing typical gender roles that could border on misogyny. In April 2024, he claimed that birth control made young women “angry and bitter,” suggesting that advising women to delay marriage and children in favor of corporate careers led to “mass political hysteria” and lamenting that women over 30 were no longer attractive in the dating pool because they were “not at their prime”.

He also claimed that “blacks” were prowling the streets looking for white people to harm, which earned him the term “racist.”  And, to be fair, the context didn’t make it better, as Kirk claimed it was happening all the time. “Happening all the time in urban America, prowling Blacks go around for fun to go target white people, that’s a fact. It’s happening more and more,” he said on May 19th, 2023.

Kirk was far from a freedom fighter. He loved the ruling class, specifically, the current ruler, Donald Trump. He just wanted his version of Christian nationalism forced on everyone.
