Once the standard of troops and infantrymen, bolt-action rifles in the modern era have become specialist’s tools, from ultra-light mountain guns for hunting in technical terrain to hyper-precise models with a near infinite amount of adjustability used in contemporary rifle competitions and everything in between. The straightforward nature of bolt-action rifles also allows for easy adaptability across a wide spectrum of chamberings, from the perennial .22 LR to the latest cartridge’s like Federal’s 7mm Backcountry.

MAC MBA

Military Armament Corporation, a division of SDS Imports, is rounding out an extensive and varied collection of shotguns and pistols with a precision-oriented chassis bolt-action rifle, the MAC MBA. At the time of this writing, Turkish-produced MAC MBA rifles are currently chambered for .223 Rem. or .308 Win. They are outfitted with folding, adjustable stocks and ship with an integrated Picatinny based scope mount. MAC MBA receivers also accept industry-standard AICS pattern detachable box magazines. The MBA’s action differs from the typical bolt-action norm–there’s no short or long sizes, just an interchangeable bolt face for caliber modularity. It’s also designed in such a way that it sits inline with the chassis itself. MAC ships these rifles with muzzle brakes, but as they also have industry standard 5/8×24 threads, the MBA can accept .30-caliber suppressors.

Tikka T1X ACE Target

Tikka is well-known for its T1 and T3 series rimfire and centerfire rifles. Since the original release of the .22 LR T1X MTR, these have become serious contenders for sport and competition shooters looking for accurate but reasonably priced .22 LR rimfire bolt-action models. Until now, these barreled actions were only available with standard black synthetic field stocks. With the new ACE Target Models this year, shooters can now enjoy the same barreled action in a modern and adjustable chassis. The new T1X ACE Target comes bedded in the same chassis system as the T3X ACE centerfire models. This chassis system provides an additional level of functionality and modularity that’s important to today’s serious bolt-action shooters, especially since the ACE is complaint with PRS and NRL factory divisions.

Mossberg MVP Patrol Professional Series Bolt-Action Rifle

For several years, the Mossberg MVP bolt-action family of rifles has provided a group of handy and practical rifles that can serve well across many roles. They’re also designed to feed off the most popular rifle magazines found in the United States: AR-15 and AR-10 pattern magazines. For 2025 Mossberg is expanding the MVP lineup with the introduction of the MVP Patrol Professional Series. The MVP Patrol Professional Series all feature 16.25-inch medium bull contour, button-rifled and threaded barrel with A2 flash hiders, a Picatinny optic base and fiber optic iron sights. They are available in 5.56 NATO, .300 BLK and .308 Win.

CZ 600 MDT Deep Bronze

The CZ 600 has been CZ USA’s centerfire flagship rifle for the past few years. One of the latest versions that showed up in CZ’s booth at SHOT Show this year is the CZ 600 MDT Deep Bronze: a rifle with heavy-contour cold hammer forged precision and competition rifle chambered for .308 Win. that’s guaranteed to print ¾ MOA five-shot groups at 100 meters from the factory. These rifles are bedded to MDT’s SRS Skeletonized rifle chassis which also includes a 10-round MDT AICS pattern box magazine. The barreled action and accept pieces including the MDT Premier vertical grip are all in black while the MDT SRS Skeletonized rifle stock is finished with a deep bronze Cerakote coating
