New(ish) year, new Boker Collection piece. The Boker 2025 Collection comes from Thierry Savidan, and, as is to be expected, is a decked out, premium piece that falls on the very high end of what is offered in Boker’s Plus lineup.

The first thing you notice about the Collection 2025 is the blade. Now that could be said about most knives, of course, but what’s being offered with this particular folder is, if you’ll pardon us the pun, a cut above. At 3.38 inches it’s right on the money for all-purpose utility, but the dimensions alone don’t do justice to the blade: it’s wide, with dished out proportions, and a deep, drooping fuller.

In other words, it’s a looker, but, with MagnaCut steel on board, it’s also a doer. Users will deployer their Collection 2025 via spine side flipper, but it’s worth noting that the flipper tab itself is very low profile, hardly noticeable in the closed position and basically invisible when the knife is open. The aforementioned fuller could also function as an opening method for those committed to the two hand-opening lifestyle.

Meanwhile it’s all class down on the handle side, with a big titanium bolster and 2/3rds scales made from marbled carbon fiber. It is a monochromatic look overall, but it is tastefully disrupted by blue anodized elements: the pivot collar and the hardware. Blue screws hold the sculpted titanium pocket clip into place, by the way; and in total, the Collection 2025 weighs 5.64 oz.

The Collection 2025 will be available on Valentine’s Day, if you really want to blow your partner’s mind.
