Indian Army Responds To “Unprovoked” Firing By Pakistan

The Indian Army is currently retaliating against Pakistani troops, who have engaged in unprovoked firing across the Line of Control (LOC) in Kashmir for the seventh straight day. New Delhi claims that the current attacks are “unprovoked” and that they will continue to fire back at Islamabad.

According to local media reports, on Tuesday, Modi informed the heads of the Indian Army, Navy, and Air Force that they have been granted “complete operational freedom” to determine the approach, targets, and timing of India’s response.

Pakistan Claims India Is Planning A “Military Strike”

Several Pakistani officials have said an Indian strike on the country is imminent. “Pakistan has credible intelligence that India intends to launch a military strike within the next 24 to 36 hours, using the Pahalgam incident as a false pretext,” Information Minister Attaullah Tarar wrote on X on Tuesday evening.

In an interview with Al Jazeera, Pakistani Defense Minister Khawaja Asif suggested that the Pahalgam attack was a false flag operation staged by India. In response, New Delhi’s Deputy Envoy to the United Nations, Yojna Patel, condemned Islamabad for making what she called “baseless allegations against India.” -SHTFPlan

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has been mulling ideas for attacks since Pakistan fired across the LOC, according to a report by RT.

Retired Indian Army veteran Lt. Gen. Kamal Jit Singh told RT that India will probably conduct surgical strikes to hit terrorists but is unlikely to “cross the threshold” of an all-out war.

International analysts have expressed concerns of escalation and a major conflict between the two nuclear-armed neighbors, which have fought four wars since they became independent in 1947.

The military officials are saying that they intend to attempt to use “surgical precision” in the strikes to prevent a war. However, we’ll see how that goes. Pakistan has vowed to retaliate against any strikes. All of that could add up to all-out war, regardless of what is claimed by anyone in power. Do you think it will go to war? Why or why not? Tell us in the comments.
