Walking the floor at SHOW Show 2025, there are a multitude of interesting new firearms from which to choose. One category that remains quite strong is the concealed-carry market, with more and more people discovering the EDC lifestyle. Plentiful new pistols were launched at SHOT specifically for this market, and we take a look at a handful f new-for-2025 items.

Taurus GX2

Taurus’ most recent entry in the concealed-carry market is a clean-slate approach, a bare-bones, 9 mm pistol with 13-round capacity, a thumb safety and a very attractive and affordable price point. Reliable? I attended the launch event at Gunsite last year, and we ran more than dozen GX2 pistols through a wide variety of Gunsite drills and scenarios, with very few issues (most, like the one I experienced, had to do with operator error in inadvertently engaging the safety; certainly not a fault of the GX2). MSRP: $309.99.

Smith & Wesson M&P 2.0 Metal Carry Comp Performance Center

While the weight difference between Smith & Wesson’s polymer-frame, original M&P M2.0 and the new Metal version is minimal, the extra rigidity of the aluminum frame is evident on the range. Capacity is a generous 17+1 rounds, Smith & Wesson’s CORE optics-mounting system comes standard and the slide and barrel are ported to help the gun shoot even flatter. If you’re looking for a carry gun that performs well on the range, this is a great option. MSRP: $999.

Heckler & Koch CC9

Created specifically for the U.S. concealed-carry market, Heckler & Koch’s new CC9 brings the ergonomics, reliability and precision for which the company is known to a small gun. With a 12-round magazine, optics cut for RMSc/K-series footprint, chassis system fire-control group and a length of pull identical to the VP9, H&K’s new concealed carry gun is designed to be a small gun you can shoot comfortably. MSRP: $699.

FN America Reflex XL

FN America took its micro-9 mm double-stack pistol, the Reflex, and made it just a little bit bigger. This follows a trend seen with other micro pistols like the P365, Hellcat and others, where a slightly longer barrel and more capacious magazine are added to increase sight radius and capacity without changing the overall feel of the pistol. This new Reflex XL has a 15-round capacity with the flush-fit magazine, maintains the RMSc/K-series optic footprint and is easier to charge thanks to the internal-hammer-fired design. MSRP: $719.

Ruger RXM

Perhaps one of the biggest splashes made was Ruger’s introduction of its RXM pistol in conjunction with Magpul. Based on the Glock Gen3 striker-fired operating system, the RXM adds a fire-control insert which allows different grip frames to be easily swapped in. Optics mounting is simplified with the use of pins to allow either RMR- or DeltaPointPro-footprint optics to be attached directly to the slide. Lastly, since the RXM is based on the G19, a vast array of aftermarket accessories such as magazines, holsters and related gear are already available. MSRP: $499.

Clearly, these are not the only new concealed-carry-ready pistols released this year, and we have many other roundups and coverage of other new items to explore. Be sure to stay tuned to future “I Carry” episodes where each of these new pistols will be highlighted in their own concealed-carry kits.
