The National Rifle Association of America (NRA) has announced that Gunsite Academy will be hosting the upcoming Gunsite America’s Rifle Challenge (ARC) Summit at Gunsite Academy in Paulden, AZ. The revolutionary program will teach AR-15-style-rifle owners how to safely operate, fire, maintain and compete in ARC Level 1 Competitions.

“The NRA is committed to supporting our members by offering new and innovative approaches to firearm training and competition,” said Josh Savani, executive director of NRA General Operations. “The first-of-its-kind summit in Arizona will play a critical role in teaching new shooters how to improve their skills and introduce seasoned shooters to the NRA’s fast-paced and exciting new competition platform.”

Enthusiasts who attend the “America’s Rifle Level 1 Training Day” on Nov. 8 will learn and develop skills to safely operate, fire, maintain and compete with AR-platform rifles directly from the elite cadre of Gunsite Academy instructors. The live-fire training course will teach the basic, fundamental and positional skills for recreational and competitive AR shooting.

The next day, Nov. 9, Gunsite Academy will host an ARC Level 1 Match for shooters who are ready to take on the next level of competitive shooting. In addition to competing on the ARC Level 1 match, competitors will take on Gunsite’s world-renowned “Scrambler” course-of-fire.

The amazing weekend experience at Gunsite Academy is an ideal opportunity to learn more about America’s favorite rifle and to test your skills. Attendees need to review the ARC program rules to determine what division your rifle is currently configured to compete in. ARs and semi-automatic rifle platforms are permitted.

Cost for the two-day event is $350. Space is limited to 100 participants. Full details are available on Gunsite’s website.

Enthusiasts who are interested in NRA’s America’s Rifle Challenge, but unable to attend November’s summit, are encouraged to visit the ARC webpage for more details on the program.
