GiantMouse Brings Pro-Tech on for New Elmer Auto

GiantMouse breaks new ground with the Elmer, latest addition to their always-growing ACE lineup. The Elmer, produced in collaboration with a well-known auto manufacturer, is GiantMouse’s first foray into that knife genre.

No need to bury the lead – you’ve probably already guessed who that “well-known auto manufacturer” is. Who else but the boys and girls over at Pro-Tech? The California-based company has partnered with all sorts of makers, both for their own internal product lines as well as external collaborators in an OEM capacity. For anybody looking to source an automatic knife in the U.S.A., Pro-Tech are the go-to.

Deep carry pocket clip present and accounted for.

The Elmer has the Pro-Tech build, but it indisputably has the GiantMouse look, with a 3.2-inch trailing point blade that’ll put returning fans in mind of the Clyde. The reasonable length and proven profile place the Elmer into the EDC genre, where it will hold up to long stretches of use, thanks in no small part to the presence of that superstar super steel, CPM-Magnacut.

Meanwhile, the handle – also giving Clyde, to be honest – is made from the Pro-Tech speciality, finely-finished aluminum, with the button deployment mechanism located right beneath the pivot in a little nook all to itself. The rodential GiantMouse logo is cleanly etched into the show-side scale on either model – there being both a blue and a black handle ano option on this one.

The Elmer is available right now.
