XS Sights recently introduced a new aftermarket handguard option that replaces the original handguard for Smith & Wesson’s Model 1854 lever-action rifle with the 19.25-inch barrel chambered for .44 Magnum. This new aluminum handguard is longer, so it covers more of the hot barrel’s surface area and also has M-Lok slots on all three sides to facilitate the mounting of accessories on your rifle.

“We designed this handguard with real shooters in mind,” said Jeff King, Marketing Manager, XS Sights. “It balances modern accessory options with a sleek, more natural fit that feels right in the hands. Whether you’re new to lever guns or have been running them for decades, our handguard gives you the option to customize the platform how you want.”

XS Sights Lever Action Handguard Specifications:

  • Length: 17 inches
  • Width: 1.1875 inches
  • Height: 2 inches
  • Weight: 9.6 ounces
  • Handguard Material: Aluminum
  • Finish: Black Anodized
  • Mounting System: Three-point proprietary system
  • MSRP: $247.50

For over two years, the Model 1854 has been Smith & Wesson’s premium lever action rifle offering. The product line is offered across the traditional straight wall pistol caliber chamberings that lever action rifle customers are familiar with, including .44 Magnum and .357 Magnum. Smith & Wesson also chambers the rifle in .30-30 Winchester and .45-70 Government. As more makes and models are released, the accessory and aftermarket keeps growing.

Retail price for the XS Sights Smith & Wesson Lever Action Handguard for the Model 1854 starts at $247.50. Visit xssights.com to learn more about this new handguard or other products from XS Sights.
