Streamlight Inc. recently unveiled a new variant of its best-selling Streamlight TRL-1 tactical light, new Streamlight TLR-1 HP, a model with a very high and intense candela output of 65,000 based on the Streamlight TLR-1 HL.

The new model is machined from 6000-series aluminum and is fueled by a pair of industry standard CR123A batteries. The light is available in two different formats that can fit pistols or long guns using a standard Picatinny MIL-STD-1913 rail clamping surface or a Glock-style clamp. In addition to this, this new light includes Streamlight’s one-hand snap and tighten interface which helps keep hands away from the muzzle of a firearm. For practicality and durability, the battery compartment is designed with a tough latch as well as a tethered door to avoid its loss. Externally, the new Streamlight TLR-1 HP has an waterproof and dust proof rating of IPX7 and can resist water up to one meter of depth for up to half an hour (30 minutes).

Streamlight TLR-1 HP Features:

“This enhancement to the popular TLR-1 HL gun light provides increased candela for illumination of downrange targets, enabling users, for example, to see all the way to the end of a dark alley or down a wooded path, while still delivering impressive brightness,” said Streamlight president Mike Dineen. “That makes it an essential tool for first responders, tactical and military personnel and outdoor users as they perform search operations and other maneuvers under low-light conditions. And its strobe feature offers the added benefit of being able to signal in the field or disorient targets.”

Pricing for the new Streamlight TLR-1 HP starts at an MSRP of $367 for the long gun version while retail pricing for the dedicated pistol versions begins at $292 and $305 (flat dark earth model) respectively. All devices include Streamlight’s limited lifetime warranty. To learn more about these new lights or other products from Springfield, visit streamlight.com.
