Streamlight has recently launched the new SL-SideSaddle, a portable hands-free lighting solution that caterers to anyone who spends time in an outdoor setting. The new Streamlight SL-SideSaddle light is designed to sit on the side of rock-climbing helmets, baseball caps or tactical bump helmets. Streamlight offers these lights in two different versions: A standard version that uses three AAA traditional alkaline batteries and a USB-rechargeable model that runs off a 2000 mAh lithium-polymer cell.

Streamlight manufactures the SL-SideSaddle with rugged use in mind. SL-SideSaddle lights have a tough polycarbonate thermoplastic construction and an extra-strong polycarbonate lens. The lights are shock proof and drop-tested to withstand a 2-meter impact.

The USB rechargeable model unit has a maximum output of 400 lumens for 5 hours. On its low spot setting, the SL-SideSaddle USB provides 12 hours of runtime at 100 lumens. The alkaline version of the SL-SideSaddle provides up to 300 lumens with a run time of up to 5 hours, on the spot/flood combo setting. The low flood setting provides up to 16 hours of run time at 60 lumens.

With the hat-light system, end-users can mount the SL-SideSaddle on a baseball hat or bump cap. Moreover, the universal mounting system provides the necessary strap and mounts to secure this light to athletic climbing or safety helmets.

“The SL-SideSaddle series is setting a new standard in hands-free lighting,” said Michael F. Dineen, Streamlight president. “Designed for outdoor enthusiasts who demand versatility and high performance, the SL-SideSaddle offers reliable illumination without interfering with your gear. Whether mounted on athletic helmets or clipped to a baseball cap, it’s the perfect companion for all of your outdoor adventures.”

In addition to a choice of battery type, the SL-SideSaddle can be had with a yellow or a black housing. Visit streamlight.com to learn more about Streamlight’s new SL SideSaddle light or other products made by Streamlight.
