Streamlight Inc. recently unveiled the new Streamlight ProTac 2.0 HP, a tactical and everyday-carry-friendly flashlight that delivers large amounts of candela and draws power from Streamlight’s SL-B50 USB-C rechargeable battery pack.

This tactical handheld light has many of Streamlight’s classic features that its customers have come to appreciate, including a ruggedized 6000-series anodized aluminum construction. It also includes features such as Streamlight’s “Ten-Tap” programmable tail switch that allows the end-user to cycle between different lighting and intensity giving them the option between three different modes: high/strobe/low; high only and low/medium/high. The ProTac 2.0 HP also features an anti-roll head and a gasket-sealed lens.

“This latest addition to the ProTac series of tactical handheld lights provides first responders, security units, outdoor enthusiasts, and others a light that combines balanced brightness—both distance illumination and ultra-bright light—without sacrificing run times,” said Streamlight President, Michael F. Dineen. “Users will appreciate the convenience and ease of charging the battery pack either inside or outside of the light.”

Streamlight engineered the new ProTac 2.0 HP tactical light to throw out 2,000 lumens and 85,000 candela on its maximum setting without sacrificing runtime. On its highest power setting, the battery will last for 2.5 hours. On the opposite end, the rechargeable SL-B50 battery pack will last up to 31 hours on its low power setting. The battery pack can also be recharged without needing to take down the light or remove it. The ProTac 2.0 HP also comes with a removable pocket clip, holster and USB-C charge cord.

Streamlight’s new ProTac 2.0 HP MSRP starts at $251, depending on accessories and configuration. To learn more about this new tactical EDC illumination tool or other lighting products offered by Streamlight Inc., visit streamlight.com.
