Streamlight Inc., recently introduced the new MegaStream USB rechargeable flashlight, a compact handheld light with a mighty output consisting of 1,800 lumens and 26,000 candela with a two hour runtime on high off a fully-charged battery. This new compact handheld flashlight from Streamlight only measures 5.3 inches and a weight of 5.4 ounces.

The Streamlight MegaStream USB casts white light and uses three different output modes:

  • High (1,800 lumens, 26,000 candela, 352 yards beam distance)
  • Medium (500 lumens, 7,200 candela, 185 yards beam distance)
  • Low (150 lumens, 2,100 candela, 100 yards beam distance).

The MegaStream USB’s run times will range from approximately 13 hours on its low mode up to two hours on the highest setting. Power comes by way of a 3,500mAh Streamlight SL-B34 lithium-ion battery pack. End users can recharge these battery packs internally or externally. There is a sliding head cover that protects its USB-C charging port built into the flashlight.

Like most other Streamlight handhelds of the same form-factor, the MegaStream USB is activated via its push-button tail cap switch. This rubberized switch is pressure sensitive and can be fully clicked to stay on, or just gently pushed for temporary lighting.

Streamlight MegaStream USB flashlight bodies are manufactured from machined aluminum alloy with a Type II MIL-Spec anodized finish and can withstand tough conditions. It features an unbreakable polycarbonate lens, is IPX7-rated waterproof to one meter for 30 minutes, and is 2-meter impact resistance tested.

“The MegaStream USB is built for those who demand high-performance lighting in a compact, everyday carry package,” said Michael F. Dineen, Streamlight Chief Revenue Officer. “It provides intense brightness with long distance reach, extraordinary run time, as well as convenient USB-C charging. It’s an ideal light for first responders, outdoor enthusiasts, professional users, and others who need a durable, extremely bright pocket light.”
