Few rifles in the American firearms and sports shooting market have had the legacy of the Ruger 10/22. Originally launched in 1964, shooters have purchased millions of these rimfire carbines and have used to do everything from hunting to plinking or participating in competitive shooting events. For 2025, Sturm, Ruger & Company is launching a new lightweight version of the classic .22 LR rimfire semi-automatic carbine, the new Ruger 10/22 Carbon Fiber.

Banking on consumer demand for rifles that are both extremely lightweight and utilitarian, the new Ruger 10/22 Carbon Fiber has a 16.1-inch cold-hammer-forged barrel shrouded in a carbon fiber wrap and including a threaded muzzle for industry standard .5×28-tpi threads. Consumers have a choice of buying their new Ruger 10/22 Carbon Fiber rimfire carbines with either the Magpul MOE X-22 stock or a Grey Birch M-Lok compatible chassis. Additionally, Ruger is also offering left-handed shooters their own left-handed action option with the same Grey Birch chassis.

Ruger 10/22 Carbon Fiber Features:

  • Cold-hammer-forged barrel tensioned in carbon-fiber sleeve with muzzle threads
  • BX-Trigger with a light, crisp 2.5 to 3-pound trigger pull weight with minimal overtravel and a positive reset.
  • Detachable 10-round rotary magazine features a unique rotor to separate cartridges and provide reliable feeding.
  • Extended magazine release provides smooth, no-fuss removal of flush-mounted magazine.
  • Push-button, cross-bolt manual safety.
  • Factory-installed one-piece aluminum scope rail
