Lapua has recently unveiled two new long distance precision-oriented boattail spitzer rifle bullets, known as the Lapua MaxRange Target. These new bullets were specifically engineered and crafted to cater towards precision rifle cartridge handloaders who use and load 6.5mm and .30-caliber projectiles in long-distance shooting applications, including disciplines and contests like PRS (Precision Rifle Series), F-Class, Fullbore and others where many targets are engaged at distances at or beyond 1,000 meters. These new Lapua MaxRange Target bullets count on high ballistic coefficients and streamlined profiles to better buck the wind and overcome aerodynamic drag hazards during flight.

Lapua MaxRange Target 6.5 mm 144-Grain Bullet

The Lapua MaxRange Target 6.5 mm (.264 inch) diameter rifle bullet is meant for many of today’s popular rifle chamberings including 6.5 Creedmoor, 6.5 PRC, 6.5×47 mm Lapua, 6.5×55 mm Swedish and any other bottleneck rifle cartridge that accepts a mid-weight 6.5mm diameter projectile. Measured over a doppler radar, the Lapua 6.5 mm MaxRange Target bullet has a G1 and G7 ballistic coefficient of .670 and .335 respectively.

Lapua MaxRange Target .30 Caliber 175-Grain Bullet

The Lapua MaxRange Target .30-caliber (7.62mm) diameter rifle bullet is meant for many of today’s popular rifle .30-caliber rifle chamberings including .308 Win, .300 Win. Mag, .30-’06 Sprg., .300 PRC, .300 Norma Mag., and any other bottleneck rifle cartridge that is loaded with slightly heavier .30-caliber projectiles. Also measured over a doppler radar, the Lapua .30-caliber MaxRange Target bullet has a G1 and G7 ballistic coefficient of .581 and .286 respectively.

Lapua Sales & Marketing Manager, Erkki Seikkula stated, “With the continued growth of precision rifle sports throughout the world, Lapua is listening to customer demands to deliver projectiles that will outperform all others. Let us share our Passion for Precision with the new MaxRT projectiles.”
