Barrett Firearms Manufacturing Inc. is announcing two new additions to its MRAD and MRADELR product lines that enhance the versatility and performance of those rifles for long-range-shooting enthusiasts and professional users.

The 7mm PRC caliber for the MRAD platform caters to long-range shooters seeking the modern, high-performance 7mm magnum cartridge. Available in a complete rifle configuration or as a barrel-conversion kit, the 26-inch barrel maintains the standard length of existing magnum calibers in the MRAD platform. Each barrel is equipped with the Barrett AM/AML suppressor-ready muzzle brake for more recoil reduction and better adaptability for suppressor use. This product extends choices for both new and existing MRAD customers, affirming Barrett’s commitment to innovation and user-driven solutions. The MRAD was designed with both precision and modularity in mind, making it equally at home on the range or on duty. The monolithic upper receiver on the rifle is machined from 7000-series aluminum and includes a full-length M1913 Picatinny top rail with built-in taper for long range accuracy.

In response to customer demand, Barrett has also unveiled a new 30-inch barrel conversion kit for the MRADELR rifle chambered in 416 Barrett. This barrel, six inches shorter than the standard 36-inch configuration, is paired with a Barrett QDL muzzle brake to optimize its compatibility with a QDL Suppressor. The shorter barrel improves maneuverability and slightly increases bullet velocity while maintaining the accuracy expected of the MRADELR rifle.

The MRADELR is a military tested, off-the-shelf, extreme long-range system with user changeable barrels and calibers. Designed to deliver precision typically achieved only by custom-built rifles, the MRADELR expands the bolt-action, magazine-fed MRAD family to include 416 Barrett and other future large-caliber options.
