Military Armament Corp (MAC) is introducing a companion firearm to the MAC-5 and MAC-5K with versions that feature the Franklin Armory Binary Trigger (BFSIII HK-C1). This three-position trigger, which when in position three, fires one round on the pull of the trigger and one round on the release.

The MAC-5 series are dead ringers for the originals, but are available at a price point that makes them available to a wider range of shooters. The MAC-5 9mm pistols are compatible with Heckler & Koch accessories and most other aftermarket products that are designed for MP5 variants, as well as a line of soon to be released MAC branded accessories.

The MAC-5 features an 8.9-inch barrel, an overall length of 17.9 inches and weighs 88 ounces unloaded. The MAC-5K comes with a 5.8-inch barrel, with an overall length of 13.7 inches and weighs 70 ounces unloaded. With a binary trigger in these guns, the split times between shots are lowered, resulting in faster follow-up shots and tighter groups.

Military Arms Corp MAC-5 Specifications:

  • Caliber: 9mm
  • Action: Roller-delayed blowback
  • Grip Module: Reinforced polymer, glass-filled
  • Trigger Pull: 4 pounds, 8 ounces
  • Finish: Lauer lacquer paint over manganese phosphate
  • Hooded front post, fixed front sight
  • Adjustable rear diopter on the MAC-5
  • Castle style rear adjustable sight
  • Two 30-round standard magazines
  • ½x28 tpi muzzle thread and tri-lug muzzle
  • Paddle magazine release
  • Sling, custom hard case, cleaning kit
  • MAC Limited Lifetime Warranty

MSRP for the MAC-5 Binary Trigger version is $2,399.99. More information on these firearms and other products from Military Armaments Corp is available at milarmamentcorp.com.
