First Look: JV Training Accessories Fridge Magnet Dry Fire Targets

JV Training Accessories is introducing its Fridge Magnet Dry Fire Targets line, which bring a new twist to practical-shooting dry practice. These 1:9-scale targets are modeled after USPSA and IPSC dimensions and stick to any metal surface, even the refrigerator—so you can sharpen your reloads and sight alignment without leaving the kitchen. Think of it as culinary multitasking: while you’re grabbing a snack, you’re also honing skills that translate directly to match day or the range.

JV Training Accessories began in June 2024 when founder John Vlieger, a USPSA Grand Master, 2024 Single Stack National Champion and 10-year Army veteran, decided to turn his dry-fire obsession into products for shooters of all skill levels. Based out of Northern Kentucky, JVTA’s first hit was the Dry Weight Magazine Insert, and now the Fridge Magnet Dry Fire Targets continue the mission to create gear that makes dry fire as realistic and as convenient as possible.

Rather than use flimsy cardstock, each magnetic target is 3D-printed for durability and comes with a strong, embedded magnet. There are configurations for hard cover, no-shoot, double-stack and “wide-open” target presentations, all designed to reinforce target recognition and reload drills. Available as singles for $3 each or in 10-pack bundles starting at $24.95, these targets travel as well as they fridge-surf: take them off the fridge and mount them on door hardware, lamp posts, or any metal surface that’s in a safe direction as you’re on the go. They’re fun to stick around the house, but they’re also a low-stress way to log consistent dry fire reps between trips to the range.
