Rossi has launched a new version of its handy LWC (Lightweight Carbine) that comes equipped with a folding stock in order to provide its owners a higher level of convenience when storing or transporting their firearms.

The Rossi LWC is a single shot, break-action utility rifle designed to be useful around the ranch, farm or field. Rossi manufactures these carbines in various calibers including .300 BLK, .350 Legend, .357 Mag, .45 Colt/.410-bore and 5.56 NATO. The same single-shot action and hinging mechanism found on the Rossi LWC also form the basis for the Rossi Brawler single-shot pistol.

The LWC’s manual-of-arms and operation is extremely simple, as it requires the user to manually insert a cartridge into the breech and cock the hammer before each shot. After the shot, the user must also remove the empty casing before reloading the breech with a fresh cartridge. Rossi LWCs include a permanently fixed Picatinny scope base, polymer furniture and a capped and threaded muzzle which makes these carbines suppressor ready.

The new folding stock versions, which include an integrated, skeletonized, polymer hinging-stock design that folds laterally are currently available in .300 BLK or 5.56 NATO models. For those who already own a Rossi LWC and are interested in upgrading their unit, Rossi is also selling the new folding-stock assembly separately.
