Federal Premium’s signature line of Hydra-Shok Deep Personal Defense ammunition is now adding two longtime classic, straight-wall, rimmed revolver cartridges to this lineup with .32 H&R Mag. and .45 Colt options.

This expansion of the Hydra-Shok line bolsters the available options of Federal Premium’s Personal Defense ammunition for these traditional revolver cartridges. With the advent of both new lever-action long guns and carry revolvers chambered in both of these calibers, the industry has been witnessing renewed interest in some of these classic cartridges, which also includes demand for defensive ammunition. These new loads feature the iconic Hydra-Shok hollowpoint bullet with its signature center post design. This ammunition is also loaded with Federal Premium’s high performance propellants and uses premium nickel plated casings with sealed primers, all optimized for defensive firearm use.

.45 Colt Hydra-Shok Deep

“These new products address the need for modernized defensive ammunition for popular .45 Colt revolvers and rifles, as well as requests for a modern defense bullet in .32 H&R Mag.,” said Chris Laack, Federal Handgun ammunition product manager. “Both of the different and unique bullet designs for these two new loads achieve critical penetration depths through barriers encountered in self-defense situations. Our Hydra-Shok Deep bullet for the .45 Colt is designed and optimized to work within the limitations of the .45 Colt, from short revolvers to full-length rifles,” continued Laack. “Our Hydra-Shok Deep bullet for .32 H&R Mag. supports the launch of several new guns in that cartridge as well as offering a lower-recoil option in .327 Fed. Mag. chambered revolvers.”

These new rounds are available in 20 count boxes. Visit Federal Premium’s website at federalpremium.com to learn more about this new loads or other products from Federal Premium.
