In 2023, Burris Optics introduced the Veracity PH, a scope that combined a laser rangefinder with an onboard ballistics computer to create an “all-in-one” solution for the long-distance hunter. Now, for 2025, that has made its made its way into the company’s tactical line with the all-new XTR PS (Precision Shooter) riflescope.

Developed for competitive and long-range tactical shooters, the new XTR PS combines Burris’ micro-adjustable PĒK (Programmable Elevation Knob) technology and an advanced onboard HUD data center with the one-piece 34mm main tube chassis and precision optics engineering with the power of the BurrisConnect ballistics app.

The Burris PĒK system revolutionizes elevation adjustment with its clickless turret and digital position sensor, delivering fast and precise performance. Unlike conventional turrets, the PĒK achieves a 1/30-mil adjustment accuracy that surpasses the coarser 1/4- or 1/8-MOA and 1/10-mil adjustments of most scopes. This advanced system enables long-range shooters to achieve more precise bullet drop compensation, extending accuracy and performance beyond traditional competition and tactical optics.

The XTR PS HUD delivers eight data zones that provide firing-solution information at a glance. Central to the display is the elevation position, or “dial-to-distance,” which is expressed in yards, meters, or mil. By simply ranging the target distance and rotating the elevation knob to match, shooters can eliminate complex on-the-fly BDC calculations, reliance on dope cards and the risk of dialing errors.

Among the HUD’s additional features are wind hold, unit of measure, battery meter, digital riflescope level, wind direction, wind speed, density altitude and angle compensation. New for competition shooters, an innovative countdown timer has been added, ensuring precise time management during matches where every second counts.

Burris engineers have integrated the XTR PS with the BurrisConnect app, allowing users to create and upload custom ballistic profiles directly from their mobile devices. Once stored locally, these profiles enable the system to operate independently of the app, ensuring uninterrupted performance in the field. Each ballistic profile includes over 20 density altitude curves, giving shooters the flexibility to adapt to changing environmental conditions. These curves can be selected directly on the scope using onboard controls, providing precision and ease of use in any setting.

Offered in 3-18x50mm and 5.5-30x56mm magnification ranges, the XTR PS comes with additional features to ensure maximum performance for any shooting task or environment. These include the “Christmas tree style” Burris SCR 2 illuminated FFP reticle in dual-color (red/green), zero-click-stop adjustment knob, side-focus parallax adjustment, ED glass for exceptional clarity and image fidelity, index-matched, Hi-Lume multi-coated lenses and a single-piece milled 6061-T6 aluminum housing. The soft-touch side array buttons located outboard of the parallax adjustment knob are designed for easy and fast menu operation.
