Beretta USA is reintroducing the M9A1 back to the US handgun market. This iconic pistol is a version of the Beretta M9 developed for the U.S. Marine Corps. In addition to the standard features found on the Beretta M9 service pistol, the M9A1 is built on an M9 frame that includes a built-in accessory rail for tactical lights, lasers and other accessories over the dust cover area.

In addition to serving as the foundation for this M9 variant, the Beretta M9A1 frame is also used in other members of the Beretta 92 family, including the Beretta 92G-SD, the Wilson Combat Beretta 92G Brigadier Tactical and the Langdon Tactical Technologies Beretta 92 Elite models.

“The M9A1 has proven itself as a sidearm that can be relied upon in the most demanding environments,” said Broxton Carlile, Beretta USA Pistol Product Manager. “We’re excited to make it available again to those who want a true piece of military history paired with the reliability of Beretta engineering.”

Besides its railed dust cover, the M9A1’s frame includes original Beretta 92 contours such as the full-size non-Vertec grip and radiused backstrap. Mechanically, the Beretta M9A1 functions the same as any other Beretta M9 and features the same parts, including its signature locking block action.
