Bear Creek Arsenal has recently brought back its 6.8 SPC II AR-pattern upper-receiver groups. These newly returned uppers can be had with either 16-inch or 10.5-inch barrel lengths. In addition to this, customers can purchase these uppers with either side-charging or traditional charging handles. Bear Creek Arsenal even offers two bolt-action variants in this new 6.8 SPC II lineup.

Each upper receiver group is outfitted with either a 10- or 15-inch Bear Creek Arsenal Talon or lightweight Talon M-Lok handguard. Rifling twists for these barrels are 1:10-inch. Gas system lengths are either carbine or pistol length.

The 6.8mm (.270-caliber) Remington SPC / II (Special Purpose Cartridge) is based on the .30 Remington cartridge and was developed for military and tactical applications between the U.S. Army Marksmanship unit and Remington Arms. At one point this efficient cartridge, which shares the same diameter as the classic .270 Win., was a contender to replace the 5.56 NATO service round. That never happened, but that doesn’t take away from the 6.8 SPC II’s ballistic performance.

Bear Creek Arsenal 6.8 SPC II Upper Receiver Groups Features

  • Premium barrel construction: Each Bear Creek upper is equipped with a high-quality barrel, ensuring consistent accuracy and durability.
  • Optimized gas systems: Designed to function flawlessly with the 6.8 SPC II cartridge, providing reliable cycling and reduced recoil.
  • Versatile handguard options: Bear Creek Arsenal uppers are available with various handguard lengths and profiles to suit different shooting preferences and accessories.
  • Complete assembly: Each upper comes fully assembled, including a bolt carrier group and charging handle. Because these uppers have standard dimensions, they’re ready to install onto any standard AR-15 lower receiver.
  • Bolt-action uppers available: In addition to traditional or side-charging semi-automatic uppers, Bear Creek Arsenal offers two bolt-action variants that also work on standard AR-15 pattern lower receivers.

Retail pricing for these upper receiver groups starts at $299. To learn more about Bear Creek Arsenal’s newly re-introduced 6.8 SPC II upper receiver groups, visit bearcreekarsenal.com.
