Springfield Armory has announced the new 1911 Operator AOS Threaded in .45 ACP. Available in Cerakote Coyote Brown, OD Green, Tungsten Gray or black, these new suppressor-ready pistols deliver the duty-grade features serious shooters demand.

The Operator family of pistols combines the appeal of the proven single-stack 1911 pistol with modern enhancements such as a Picatinny accessory rail on the dustcover, tritium front sight, ambidextrous safety and base pad-equipped magazines.

The newest Operator pistols feature a forged-carbon steel slide and frame for rugged durability and have a forged 5.75-inch stainless steel barrels with a low-profile black diamond-like carbon (DLC) coating. These extended barrels feature .578×28 tpi threading at the muzzle for ease of mounting accessories and come with a knurled thread protector.

In addition to the threaded barrel, the pistols also feature the Agency Optic System (AOS) for easy integration with modern optics. Developed in collaboration with Agency Arms, AOS uses a series of machined billet steel plates with integrated rear sights that accommodate a wide range of the industry’s most popular red-dot sights such as the RMR, Shield, DeltaPoint Pro and Docter footprints. The pistols ship with a cover plate, and purchasers receive a discounted price on one AOS optic plate of their choice.

All four color options with the 1911 Operator AOS Threaded .45 ACP—Coyote Brown, OD Green, Tungsten Gray or black—are Cerakote finishes that not only enhance the durability and performance of firearms but also offer significant benefits in terms of longevity and ease of care, making them a valuable asset in the world of firearm technology.

“The 1911 Operator AOS Threaded .45 adds a new dimension of performance to the proven Operator line of pistols,” said Steve Kramer, Vice President of Marketing for Springfield Armory. “Add to that the option of your preferred Cerakote finish—in Coyote Brown, OD Green, Tungsten Gray or basic black—and you have a terrific range of options for any serious fan of the 1911 pistol.”

MSRP for all four variants is $1,289. For more information on these new pistols or other firearms and accessories from Springfield Armory, visit springfield-armory.com.
